Our spirit

“Moved by the Holy Spirit, and after having lived a profound experience in the evangelization of marginalized neighborhoods in Capital Federal and towns in the interior, and in the formation of youth, we feel called to continue this task by forming an apostolic community inspired by the public life of Jesus, totally dedicated to the proclamation of His message. The years of experience in evangelization and communal life lived in the Diocese of Cruz del Eje, in communion with its Bishop and the presbyterate, confirm and encourage us in this initiative of the Spirit and in fidelity to the foundational grace we have received.

We wish to collaborate in the New Evangelization by proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom to those who—even among the baptized—know Jesus only by hearsay, but have never known Him through faith and the power of the Holy Spirit. For this reason, we choose this ministry as our fundamental one, as that which ‘deserves that all one’s energies be dedicated to it and one’s very life be consecrated to it.’

This community is made up of priests and laity who have decided to lead a life in common, to hold our goods in common, and to dedicate ourselves to evangelization with a spirit of freedom and availability to respond to the new challenges of our culture, in deep communion with the Bishop and the presbyterate of the diocese. We have gathered to lead a life according to this particular task, and we remain together as long as this task lasts.

It is the Church that evangelizes through our apostolate. She herself is a Gospel. Indeed, evangelizing is an ecclesial act and represents the faith of the universal Church. Our goal is to proclaim Christ with the faith of Mary, with the faith of Peter and Paul, of Athanasius and Jerome, of Augustine and Francis of Assisi, of Teresa of Jesus, of Turibius of Mogrovejo, of Philip Neri, of Cardinal Newman, of Saint Brochero, and of all the People of God. God wishes to grant the gift of faith through the mediation of the Church in each one of us.”
